Changing Lives Through Literacy

Project LIFT

What is Project LIFT?

Project LIFT (Literacy Initiative for Tomorrow) is a free, intensive, comprehensive literacy program for teens and young adults. Students can enroll in one or more semesters (fall, winter, summer) to improve their reading and writing skills, learn life skills like creating a budget, finding a place to live, getting a job and building a career. In addition, Project LIFT will guide students in social media such as MySpace and YouTube for special projects.

If you know of any English speaking teens and young adults (currently enrolled or dropped out of school) who struggle with reading and writing, please refer them to the Project LIFT coordinator, Carynn Davis at cdavis@LVCCreads.org
