Ann Beck, PhD., Executive Director:
Ann Beck is a long-time Flagstaff resident. She earned a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University in 1994. Over the years she has taught for the English Department at NAU and organized classes and programs on the Navajo Nation and Hopi reservation for NAU’s off campus programs. She is a certified Montessori classroom teacher. She began her tenure as Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Coconino County in November 1999. |

Laura Bohland, Program Manager:
Laura Bohland has been the Program Coordinator for LVCC since March 2001. Her history with Literacy Volunteers of America is much longer. She has been an ESL tutor for over ten years and has worked with a variety of students. She enjoys working with the adult population in a one-to-one or small-group relationship while teaching English. Just before she started the job as Program Coordinator, she began her MA in Teaching English as a Second Language. She finished her degree in the summer of 2002. |

Carrie Morgan Cannella, Education Specialist:
Carrie Morgan Cannella helped to implement a summer teen reading program as well as this webpage. Her other responsibilities include conducting in-service workshops, tutor training and small group classes for learners as well as providing support services to our volunteers. Carrie has a BSED in English Education
and an MA in English. She enjoys teaching
English to learners of all ages. She joined LVCC
in May 2005. |

Rachel Richards, Office Assistant:
Rachel Richards works as the Office Assistant through NAU Work Study. She began working at LVCC in January 2004. Rachel attends NAU
and Coconino Community College where she is
studying to be an art teacher. |

Rebekah
Guillory, AmeriCorps Member:
Rebekah Guillory has been tutoring for LVCC
since March of 2007. She is dedicated to
improving the community by helping those in
need. Rebekah plans to graduate with a degree in
Management and Marketing from NAU in May 2009.
She will then join the Peace Corps. |
